Genesis 2:2
And on the seventh day God finished his work that he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work that he had done.
Genesis 2:3
So God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it God rested from all his work that he had done in creation.
Matthew 11:28
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Sabbath rest is fulfilled when we rest in Jesus. We rest in His mercy and life all seven days of the week. Our response is to live our lives as a living prayer. His yoke is easy as we walk with Him. We are to live in the presence of the Lord without ceasing.
This is the reality of every day for those in Christ.
