"Jesus Appears to Seven Disciples
After this Jesus revealed himself again to the disciples by the Sea of Tiberias, and he revealed himself in this way."
John 21:14
" This was now the third time that Jesus was revealed to the disciples after he was raised from the dead."
This is right before Jesus asks three times if Peter loves Him. The number three is the stamp of the divine. In these account Jesus is revealing His victory over death and the central element of the new covenant, which is love. It is love that forgives and through love salvation is given.
It is from the sea of the world these fishers of men would throw the net of love into the murky water. They would raise men from watery darkness into the light of life.
