Matthew 26:38 NASB
" Then he said to them, “My soul is very sorrowful, even to death; remain here, and watch with me.”"
Jesus was made a man in every way: body, soul, and spirit. He experienced the sorrows that plague the souls of man, and this for every man. It was thus He was able to be the perfect man. We were created in the image of God, and are reborn from heaven above to complete that likeness. We must go through the first death, to self and its body. We will not face death again.
Thereby we gain our true self, soul, and life.
