I Am The Lord - Exodus 6:2-3

Exodus 6:2-3 ESV
" God spoke to Moses and said to him, “I am the Lord. I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, as God Almighty, but by my name the Lord I did not make myself known to them."

The revelation of God has been ongoing and our understanding increases as given by the Holy Spirit. He appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, but did not reveal Himself in full. We are privileged to live after He revealed Himself in the person of Jesus. By His grace He reveals Himself to our hearts. By His mercy He lets us know Him as Father.

Some know Him as "yhwh", others as Lord. Do not take this name in vain.

h3068. יְהוָֹה yhwh; from 1961; (the) self-Existent or Eternal; name of God: — the Lord. Compare 3050, 3069. (Strongs)
