Passed Through - Hebrews 4:14-16

Hebrews 4:14-16 ESV
"Jesus the Great High Priest
Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need."

The Son of Man descended and ascended through the heavens, down to the abode of the dead bearing many believers back with Him as He ascended into the life and kingdom of God. He preached to dead and some believed in His life.

We no longer labor under the certainty of death, but the promise of life. We can draw close to the throne of grace because our brother sits on that throne. His power enters our weakness and will bring us close to Him, the author of mercy and grace.
