Luke 12:49-51 ESV
"Not Peace, but Division
“I came to cast fire on the earth, and would that it were already kindled! I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how great is my distress until it is accomplished! Do you think that I have come to give peace on earth? No, I tell you, but rather division."
This fire will serve to purify those who choose God and to destroy those who do not. It is necessary for a new creation and the passing of the old. It comes from the light of God and by this fire a new creation is revealed. It has been kindled by the baptism of Jesus, that is the death and resurrection of Christ.
There is a peace given in this tribulation of division as God calls and delivers His people out of this world. He is with us until we join Him at last.s accomplished! Do you think that I have come to give peace on earth? No, I tell you, but rather division."
