Romans 8:22-23 ESV
For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now. And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.
We and all creation await the restoration that is coming. We are inextricably drawn to the perfection that has been lost and leaves a hole in our existence. We groan with an eager expectation found deep within us. The word has taken root in the dust of our earth and has revealed the first fruits of the Spirit, which are our own spirits made alive. Our redeemed bodies will follow and made more alive than they have ever been.
