A Garden -John 19:41

John 19:41 ESV

Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb in which no one had yet been laid.

It was in a garden that the first Adam died. He was buried outside the garden and the earth received him there.

Jesus was laid in a stone tomb in another garden. It became an alter on which the Lamb of God was placed as a sacrifice for the sin of the the people.

The sacrifice was accepted by the Lord and the body disappeared from the confines of the darkness behind the door of the tomb. The stone was rolled away and light would enter through the door that had been opened by Christ.

The doorway that separates life from death has swung open and no one can close it. We can leave the darkness behind by following after Him. He has made the way.
