The Way - Luke 3:4-6

Luke 3:4-6 ESV
As it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet,
“The voice of one crying in the wilderness:
Prepare the way of the Lord,
make his paths straight.
Every valley shall be filled,
and every mountain and hill shall be made low,
and the crooked shall become straight,
and the rough places shall become level ways,
and all flesh shall see the salvation of God.’”

There is a way of The Lord. Jesus said He is the way.

We prepare through repentance, through the understanding of our need and desiring God's answer for our need. The distance from God we have created by the crookedness of our wanderings, in the shadows of our mountains of self and in the valley of ignorance, will give way to a road level and smooth.

He is the way, but we must allow this in each life, to turn to Him. It's so much easier than going it alone. There is a predetermined way for life and it's God's way.
