Being Real

John 4:23 (MSG)
²³ But the time is coming—it has, in fact, come—when what you're called will not matter and where you go to worship will not matter. "It's who you are and the way you live that count before God. Your worship must engage your spirit in the pursuit of truth. That's the kind of people the Father is out looking for: those who are simply and honestly themselves before him in their worship.

How rich yet simple are these words. It is who we are and the way we live that count before God. It is being real before Him. It is being honest with ourselves and with others.

The more we engage our spirits with the Holy Spirit the more real we will become. The more real we become, the more we enter into the reality of God. That’s the real thing. That’s being real.
