Genesis 19:29 ESV
So it was that, when God destroyed the cities of the valley, God remembered Abraham and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow when he overthrew the cities in which Lot had lived.
God did not remember Lot and save him. It was because of Abraham that Lot escaped the fate of Sodom, for Lot was part of Abraham's house. Who is able to perceive and understand the power and impact of a righteous man?
