Hebrews 2:1 ESV
Therefore we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, lest we drift away from it.
The tides and currents of the sea are always in motion. Waves ever expend themselves on the shore. The wind of the world is never at rest. It would be easy to drift if we take our eyes off Jesus, if we no longer keep our inheritance in view.
Peter walked on water before he took his eyes away from Jesus.
Our course is set. The path is before us. We must not lose sight of what is important.
