Water In The Wilderness - Genesis 16:7

Genesis 16:7 ESV
The angel of the Lord found her by a spring of water in the wilderness, the spring on the way to Shur.

The angel, Jesus, appears to Hagar after she flees from Sarai, Abraham's wife. The Hebrew word for "spring" carries the meaning of fountain and is derived from a primitive word the literally means eye. "Shur" means to perceive or to regard. (Strong's)

Jesus is the fountain of living water which appears in our wilderness and opens our eyes to the presence of The Lord. He is our comfort and strength in time of trouble. His eye is on the sparrow and certainly on us as He holds us in His hand.

He does for us as He did for Hagar. He is our joy and worthy of praise.
