Judged Already - John 3:17-19

John 3:17-19 ESV 

For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil.

Everyone will face the word. It will save or condemn. 

The word is the light of the world. He came into the world and shines upon the world. Some receive the light while others cling to the darkness. 

We are judged by the word and our words. When we agree with we are able to walk together. 

We stand condemned already by the word that came before. 

We receive salvation by the word of the good news, the gospel. Both are from God. It is the same word. 

We will appear before His throne to give an account. Some will speak for the last time.
