God Did - Romans 8:3

Romans 8:3 NASB
For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did:sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh,

The Law was perfect but was unable to perfect man. It was but a shadow of the full revelation.  It pointed to the light of life when we began to see the walls of our sin which blocked the way to that life.

Then God did a glorious thing. He came in the likeness of the flesh that was decaying with the sickness of sin. He was lifted up as a sin offering on our behalf, cleansing our flesh if we would drink of the living water.

We were all condemned through the Law.  Israel received the word of God in order that the world could hear it.  They passed it along without hearing the word themselves. They could not see Him though He stood before them. Through them we are given that word.  They will join us in the fullness of time.

Galatians 3:21-22
Is the Law then contrary to the promises of God? May it never be! For if a law had been given which was able to impart life, then righteousness would indeed have been based on law. But the Scripture has shut up everyone under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.

Hebrews 7:18-19
For, on the one hand, there is a setting aside of a former commandment because of its weakness and uselessness (for the Law made nothing perfect), and on the other hand there is a bringing in of a better hope, through which we draw near to God.

Hebrews 10:1
For the Law, since it has only a shadow of the good things to come and not the very form of things, can never, by the same sacrifices which they offer continually year by year, make perfect those who draw near.

Galatians 4:4-5
But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law, so that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.
