The Parable of the Ten Minas
As they heard these things, he proceeded to tell a parable, because he was near to Jerusalem, and because they supposed that the kingdom of God was to appear immediately. He said therefore, “A nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom and then return.
Jesus received the kingdom when He rose to His throne in heaven. He is receiving His kingdom as each believer awakens into the Spirit. It is this receiving that unites with His.
The Greek word translated as "country" implies a big space. It is big enough for us to be who and what we are.
He will then return to receive His throne on earth, and judge the living and dead.
