On That Door - Isaiah 8:19-20

Isaiah 8:19-20 ESV
And when they say to you, “Inquire of the mediums and the necromancers who chirp and mutter,” should not a people inquire of their God? Should they inquire of the dead on behalf of the living? To the teaching and to the testimony! If they will not speak according to this word, it is because they have no dawn.

This translation uses the word "chirp" to describe words other than those coming from God. This could remind us of the birds of the air. Satan is the prince of the air. Inquiring of the dead brings one to the door of darkness.  Knocking on that door might cause it to open.  Death is always hungry and never filled.
