Exodus 25:37-40 NIV
“Then make its seven lamps and set them up on it so that they light the space in front of it. Its wick trimmers and trays are to be of pure gold. A talent of pure gold is to be used for the lampstand and all these accessories. See that you make them according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.
Seven lamps light the area before the throne of God in the tabernacle. This parallels John's vision of the throne room in Revelation. Seven torches burn before the throne. The perfect light of God shines forth to give us light. This is the light spoken of when God said, "Let there be light"!
Pure gold is indicative of the purity of that light. It is that light that hovers over the waters as the Holy Spirit in the beginning and is made flesh in the man Jesus.
God opens our eyes that we might see Him and join Him.
