Hosea 8:1 NASB
1 Put the trumpet to your lips!
Like an eagle the enemy comes against the house of the Lord,
Because they have transgressed My covenant
And rebelled against My law.
We see the trumpet again in Revelation blown to announce judgement. The enemy comes like an eagle because it is a judgment from the Lord. Again we see the eagle in Revelation, uttering woe to the earth. It is frequently used to indicate an activity of the Divine.
