Reason for Faith

Romans 1:17 (NIV)
17 For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith."

John 20:29
29 Then Jesus told him, "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."
NIV

Faith goes beyond reason. It frees us from the boundary and limits of creation. No longer bound by our finite conceptions, we open ourselves to the mind of God through the Holy Spirit.

God is beyond reason. Thus faith is the only way to God and is the reason for faith. Faith begins when reason is exhausted.

Faith informs reason. Reason attempts to make sense of faith, leaving the fruit of the effort in the conscience. Here they meet.

Reason and faith correspond to body and spirit. Taken together we are whole.

God said there is no other way.

There is no stronger reason to believe, to have and grow in faith.
