Ephesians 2:8
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,
Faith precedes an understanding of the things of God because He then gives His Spirit to abide with our spirits. The Holy Spirit is the doorway into heaven. Understanding and salvation begins and continues by the grace of God. His mercies are made new each morning in the light of His love.
