Leading To Eternal Life

Romans 5:20-21 (ESV Strong's)

20 Now the law came in to increase the trespass, but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, 21 so that, as sin reigned in death, grace also might reign through righteousness leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Adam ate the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and his eyes were opened. 

That fruit becomes the Law which expands our knowledge of good and evil, and our eyes are opened. The descendants of Adam feed on the same fruit. 

The forbidden fruit and the Law both lead to death. 

When our eyes are opened to the light, death makes way for the grace of righteousness that leads to eternal life.
