Be On Your Way

Luke 16:25-26 (ESV Strong's)

25 But Abraham said, ‘Child, remember that you in your lifetime received your good things, and Lazarus in like manner bad things; but now he is comforted here, and you are in anguish. 26 And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, in order that those who would pass from here to you may not be able, and none may cross from there to us.’

In the creation account, God places a great expanse to separate the waters, a chasm that separates the peoples of the earth according to the light and darkness, the waters from the waters. The distance between heaven and earth can only be crossed by Jesus and those who are in the body of Christ.

Jesus is the light of the world for those who walk in darkness. When we walk with Him, we cross the great chasm that lies between the two. The rich man’s anguish is made all the worse, for now he can see the error of his ways.

We have the word that will allow us to cross the great expanse between God and man. Listen to what the Spirit says and be on your way.
