Mark 7:20-23 ESV
And he said, “What comes out of a person is what defiles him. For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, coveting, wickedness, deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within, and they defile a person.”
The source of evil in the world comes from mankind, from the darkness of the heart. The light of creation seeks to enter that place and transform us into a new creature in the image of God’s nature. He can raise us from the deep to the light of His life.
The things of God come from outside a man. He seeks to bring us together.
