Colossians 2:6-7 ESV
Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.
To receive Christ is to return to the Garden, that state of grace that allows us to choose God. It allows and nurtures our faith which is the only way we can please God. Choosing God is a one time and ongoing decision.
As we take root in the true vine, we grow into the abundant life of the Father. To Him we gladly give thanks.
