Be Weeping - Matthew 24:48-51

Matthew 24:48-51 ESV
But if that evil servant says in his heart, ‘My master is delaying his coming,’ and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards, the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware of, and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

When we fail to keep our eyes on Jesus, facing the light to lead us in the way, we run the risk of being dulled in our vision to the expectation of His return. We might nod off into the sleep from which we were awakened when we were made alive in Christ.

Once again we encounter the teaching of a servant of Christ that loses his way and loses his salvation. One may argue as to whether this person was saved in the first place. Either way the end is the same.

There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
