To Deceive The Nations -Revelation 20:7-10

Revelation 20:7-10 NASB
7 And when the thousand years are ended, Satan will be released from his prison 8 and will come out to deceive the nations that are at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea. 9 And they marched up over the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city, but fire came down from heaven and consumed them, 10 and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

The sand of the sea is a recurring motif for a large number (sand) and of people (sea). Satan is described as standing on the sand beside the sea as he watches the beast rising from the waters.
The time of the final battle arrives. Satan is loosed from his chains. He and his armies surround Jerusalem. A mighty host threatens to destroy the Jews. All would be hopeless if this were not the Lord's city and the Lord's people. But it is and fire erupts from heaven, consuming Satan's hordes. The deceiver, Satan, is thrown in the lake of fire.

One of the names of the god of Islam is the greatest deceiver. Muslim nations today spew hatred and death to the Jewish nation. Their unifying mission is the elimination of Jews and Christians, people of the book. The word of God, the Bible, is corrupt in their view. Satan's rage against the church is manifest in the mindless rage and violence we see every day by Muslims, and that's just the tip of the mountain of evil in the world today. The armies of the enemies of the Lord are gathering in strength, growing in boldness, and are preparing for the destruction of Israel, evening boasting aloud of their intent. Even more insidious are the things they say to each other when they think we are beyond hearing or understanding.

The world does nothing either out of agreement, fear of the beast, or ignorance. They go along with this beast which was dismantled in 1924 and is well on its way back into existence. The Muslim world eagerly looks forward to the return of the Mahdi.
The foolishness of God's word gives us insight of things to come. It gives us reassurance and confidence as how things will end. It will grow darker before the darkness ends, but the light overcomes and is victorious .
