A choral work, or composition, uses different voices: soprano, alto, tenor, and bass. The differences add to the complexity and richness in the music.
In the same way, the gospels according to Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John reflect the one Gospel of Jesus Christ. They are woven and sung together to fill the air with the intent of the composer, which is the Holy Spirit. There is more music in the heart and mind of our Father in heaven, but these are given that we might begin singing even though we don't know all the words. There is much more.
