Mark 1:1 (NIV) 1The beginning of the gospel about Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
Commonly viewed as the first written gospel account, it is a recollection and recounting of that personal experience. A witness is given of the breath drawn, the touch of His hand, the words of His mouth, death on the cross, and the power of His resurrection.
The cornerstone has been laid. A new thing has been done. The Christ, or Anointed One, has come from God. So begins the story, the good news of redemption and reconciliation, but it began long ago.
