In The Wilderness

Mark 1:12-13 NIV
12At once the Spirit sent him out into the desert, 13and he was in the desert forty days, being tempted by Satan. He was with the wild animals, and angels attended him.
God told Moses that Aaron was to lay his hands on a live goat, confess the sins of the people and send it away into the wilderness by the hands a man who is able and ready. Jesus was ready. He entered the desert that proved too much for the people of Israel. It is too much for any and all of us. For this reason He came.
The wilderness of the heart is the journey we must all undertake. We would fall and fail without Him by our side. without Him in our hearts. His was the power of heaven, and angels attended Him. He makes this power available for us. As we face the wilderness within us and in the world, we can place our faith and trust in the One Who Overcame the world. The one who endures will be embraced by the One Who Endures Forever.
