So That We Are Able

2 Corinthians 1:1-4 (NIV)
1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, To the church of God in Corinth, together with all the saints throughout Achaia:
2 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort,
4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.

Being a Christian is about sharing Christ with others. The peace and grace we receive from Jesus enables us to see others in a different way, the way He sees us. The compassion and comfort given us by the Father comes not to us alone, but should overflow into all creation. The abundant life becomes more abundant as we give of what we receive. The more we seek, the more we find. The more we give, the more we receive. The more we love, the more we become love.

This is how we serve God. This is how we love God and our fellow man. It is because Jesus loves us that we are able.
