A Place We Belong

Romans 12:5 (NIV)
5 so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.

We are one in Christ. We belong to Him, and as such, we belong to each other. To this body alone do we belong. No longer are we part of or compatible with the body of the world. Even when we are tempted by some desire, sooner or later the reality and weight of being out of step with God will make itself known.

We are no longer our own, but Christ’s. We belong to the Other and to one another. Our “many” provides the diversity needed for the body to function. God made us unique creatures. When we come together, we experience the richness of God’s creation.

Our uniqueness in the body of Christ, equal and individual, forms the one splendid body. How blessed we are to know we are loved and have worth beyond question.

We have a place we belong.
