By This We Know
We have received the gift of the Holy Spirit.
1 John 4:13 ESV
By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.
To be a child of God means that we live in a life that is beyond that which we had. The finite life of man is infused with the infinite life of God through the Holy Spirit. We are a unique person who has become one with God.
We do not give up what we are, but become who we are meant to be.
