Luke 11:27-28 ESV
As he said these things, a woman in the crowd raised her voice and said to him, “Blessed is the womb that bore you, and the breasts at which you nursed!” But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”"
Mary, who bore Christ, was blessed indeed. There is a greater blessed state. It is a blessing that everyone in the kingdom of heaven can participate as sons of God. Mary is blessed because she heard the word of God and kept it. We are given that same opportunity and privilege of hearing and keeping.
The word of God bears and nurses the one born from above. The Christ is born and grows in us.
We are blessed.
