Hebrews 3:10-11 ESV
" Therefore I was provoked with that generation,
and said, ‘They always go astray in their heart;
they have not known my ways.’
As I swore in my wrath,
‘They shall not enter my rest.’”"
The heart is prone to wander and the eye to stray. There is a way to God and Jesus tells us plainly, "I am the way". No one comes to the Father but through the Son.
He tells us to come to Him and He will give us rest. Is this not what we seek?
