Isaiah 25:8 ESV
He will swallow up death forever;
and the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces,
and the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth,
for the Lord has spoken.
Christ swallows the cursed cup of our sins in order to conquer death forever. This is the cup He prayed that might be taken from Him before He was seized by the authorities.
He emptied that bitter cup and refilled it with the wine of the new covenant.
No more tears will fall
There's no need at all
When the trials that face us come to an end
