Like Living Stones - 1Peter 2:4-5

1 Peter 2:4-5 ESV
As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious, you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

Like Christ, we become living stones in the holy temple of God, a spiritual house where we worship Him in spirit.

This is the house of prayer, where those worship God in the way He seeks. It is the spiritual sacrifices that are acceptable to God, and what the temple sacrifices foreshadowed.

In Revelation a white stone is promised to the overcomer. This alluding to the righteous state of the believer dressed in white with good deeds and united by the Spirit into the body of Christ. Here is where The Lord dwells.

Matthew 3:9
And do not presume to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father,’ for I tell you, God is able from these stones to raise up children for Abraham.
