Colossians 3:5-6 ESV
Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. On account of these the wrath of God is coming.
Idolatry is as present today as yesterday, or more so. The cult of self has no lack of followers. That road is wide and well traveled though it only leads to the wrath of God.
