The Promise - Romans 4:14-15

Romans 4:14-15
For if it is the adherents of the law who are to be the heirs, faith is null and the promise is void. For the law brings wrath, but where there is no law there is no transgression.

Jesus died that we would have a way to be heirs to the kingdom of God. To do so we must die to self. In a sense, Christ died to self in that His death enabled the body of Christ, the Church, to find life. That life exists because we have been freed from the law through the grace of God through Christ.

The way of faith is justified and the promise is sure.  Faith overcomes the wrath to come.
