1 Corinthians 15:42-49 ESV
So is it with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is perishable; what is raised is imperishable. It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness; it is raised in power. It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. Thus it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam became a life- giving spirit. But it is not the spiritual that is first but the natural, and then the spiritual. The first man was from the earth, a man of dust; the second man is from heaven. As was the man of dust, so also are those who are of the dust, and as is the man of heaven, so also are those who are of heaven. Just as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the man of heaven.
From the beginning God has a plan for man. There is a sowing, then another sowing in this process. First the natural body is planted and springs forth. Man has no say in his conception. God spoke creation into being and man is part of that creation, the best part. It is in man and with man with whom God has chosen to dwell, and it is this dwelling that is the purpose of everything and which will be accomplished.
The second sowing is spiritual. It is the rebirth of man that comes from above. This sowing is different from the first. It does not originate from natural causes, and it only will only take place at the choice of each man. It is given for man to choose spiritual life with God. Love calls out and it is love that answers and what love requires.
The fruit of God's labor is then ready for harvest. This harvest will bring about a new creation, which is the end seen from the beginning.
