The Word Became Flesh

John 1:14
14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
NIV

Long ago and not so long ago, Jesus came for us taking on the form of man. He was like us and yet not like us. There is and has been no one else like Him, for He came from the Father, full of grace and truth. It is He that shows us the way to the Father for He is one with the Father. He lived without sinning and enables us to break the shackles of sin’s domination.

The incarnation continues today. Instead of among us, He makes His dwelling within us through the Holy Spirit. The grace and truth of Jesus is imparted to us. Christ takes on our flesh as we become part of His body in His church. We become the temple of God. Our worship is the sacrifice of praise arising from our joy in the Lord, spirit with Spirit.

John testifies that they have seen His glory. May it be that His glory continues to be seen through our lives.

May my thoughts and actions glorify You today
