Psalms 105:9-11 (NASB)
9 The covenant which He made with Abraham,
And His oath to Isaac.
10 Then He confirmed it to Jacob for a statute,
To Israel as an everlasting covenant,
11 Saying, “To you I will give the land of Canaan
As the portion of your inheritance,”
Israel was chosen by God to be His people in all the earth. The garden of Eden becomes the promised land for the descendants of Adam. The land of Canaan is given to them as their inheritance. They are the roots and trunk of the tree of life divinely established on the face of the earth.
Those in Christ are individually grafted into the tree of life as branches to bear the fruit of the Spirit. We have been transferred into the kingdom of heaven to become one with the Lord. The portion of our divine inheritance is the Lord.
