This Song - Exodus 15:1-3

Exodus 15:1-3 ESV

Then Moses and the people of Israel sang this song to the Lord, saying,
“I will sing to the Lord, for he has triumphed gloriously;
the horse and his rider he has thrown into the sea.
The Lord is my strength and my song,
and he has become my salvation;
this is my God, and I will praise him,
my father's God, and I will exalt him.
The Lord is a man of war;
the Lord is his name.

The people stand on the other side of the sea. They passed through the waters by the power of a strong wind from the east. They give glory and praise to the Lord.

The Holy Spirit is providing a way through the sea of humanity that allows us to journey to the other side, to our inheritance of the Lord. It is the same lesson communicated by the disciples caught in a boat in a stormy sea. Jesus calms the sea and brings them to the distant shore.

We are passing  through the water onto the dry land of the promised land. God is separating the earth from the waters, and the sheep from the goats. We will stand on the other side and sing of our salvation and His glory.

Being

The Lord is more interested in your being than doing. Doing flows from being. Be the light.

If You Have Faith - Matthew 21:20-22

Matthew 21:20-22 ESV

When the disciples saw it, they marveled, saying, “How did the fig tree wither at once?” And Jesus answered them, “Truly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen. And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.”

The Jews could not even touch the mountain of the Lord where the law was given.

Jesus speaks of faith which is the righteousness of God which does away with the mountain that separates us God. With faith we can touch and even climb on that mountain because it has become our home, for we are one with the Lord. Everyone has enough faith to turn to Jesus. He will do the rest and give you rest.

The mountain of the first covenant is discarded into the sea of striving men by a simple prayer and faith. The first covenant does not produce the fruit in keeping with the tree of life.

This is possible not by keeping rules, but by keeping the faith.

Back To Nature

In a sense man is an unnatural being, for he is a creature fallen from his original nature, the image of God. He or she remains that way unless reborn into a new creature, transformed into the natural being as created by God.

Getting back to nature is much more than sitting by a tree. It is sitting by the tree of life.

What Is It? - Exodus 16:13-15

Exodus 16:13-15 ESV

In the evening quail came up and covered the camp, and in the morning dew lay around the camp. And when the dew had gone up, there was on the face of the wilderness a fine, flake-like thing, fine as frost on the ground. When the people of Israel saw it, they said to one another, “What is it?” For they did not know what it was. And Moses said to them, “It is the bread that the Lord has given you to eat.

The Lord provides for us as we journey through the wilderness of this life. Part of our walk with Him is coming to understand and recognize His providence. The Israelites wake up one morning in the wilderness to see something unfamiliar to them. The Lord had done a new thing.

It was bread from heaven and foreshadows the bread of heaven that is provided today to the body of Christ. It is the substance of Christ given for the nourishment of our spirits as we embark on our walk with Him. Like these people in the desert, we ask the same question, "What is it?"

We begin to learn the answer, even as we pray, "Give us this day, our daily bread."
We begin to trust as we trust Him for our future. He is our future, even as He is present. He is our beginning and end. In Him we have life everlasting.

Now we can share this bread with others. Just as Jesus fed the many long ago, when He breaks the bread there is always enough. Eat and pass it along.

See The Supernatural

A natural man is unable to rightly see the supernatural. They may witness the effects, but not perceive the will and purpose behind it.

By Your Words - Matthew 12:36-37

Matthew 12:36-37 ESV

I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

Our salvation depends on the word. In fact, it depends God's word and our word. He has spoken, but we have the last word.

The kingdom is as close as a word in your mouth.

No Temple - Revelation 21:22-23

Revelation 21:22-23

And I saw no temple in the city, for its temple is the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb. And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb.

If we are the temple of the Lord, the body of Christ, and the children of light, where might we be in New Jerusalem?

A Body You Have Prepared - Hebrews 10:5-7

Hebrews 10:5-7 ESV

Consequently, when Christ came into the world, he said,
“Sacrifices and offerings you have not desired,
but a body have you prepared for me;
in burnt offerings and sin offerings
you have taken no pleasure.
Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come to do your will, O God,
as it is written of me in the scroll of the book.’”

A body was prepared for Jesus and nailed to the cross.

Another body is being prepared for Jesus- the body of Christ which is the Church.

The Seed

Everyone is predestined to be a son or daughter of God. We are the seed sown by the Lord that contains everything we need to be revealed on the last day. Only a few seeds, a remnant, will flourish to maturity. The seed is the word and only comes to fruition in the good soil of the earth.

We become the harvest that covers the fields made white by the righteousness Christ Jesus.

Satan With All Power - 2 Thessalonians 2:7-11

2 Thessalonians 2:7-11 ESV

For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of his coming. The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false,

We know lawlessness is already at work and is growing all around us. The power of Satan continues its death grip which began in the Garden long ago. The hands of the destroyer are presently restrained by the presence of the Holy Spirit Who makes His home on earth in the body of Christ. We are the salt that preserves the earth until the final day of the Lord

On that day the flames of destruction that are the promise of the lawless one will be given full sway for a short time. What is false is only attractive by those who live in delusion.

It is the word of truth that offers salvation and opens the eyes of man. It is the power of God which has overcome the power of Satan. Christ is that word and God has given His word.

Allah Is Not God

The Muslims say that Allah had no son and to say so is blasphemy. It is true that Allah had no son.

The Christians say that God has a Son and to deny this is blasphemy. It is true that God had a Son and now has many sons.

Is this a contradiction? No. Allah is not God. He only wants to be. Allah aspired to be God, rebelled, and was thrown out of heaven. He was known as Satan, or Lucifer in those days. He is the merchant of death and rules in darkness.

God is in heaven, with His Son who is bringing many into the kingdom of heaven. He threw Satan/Devil/Allah out of heaven. He is known as the Lord of the Christians and Jews. That is why they are persecuted by the followers of Allah. He is the great deceiver of many. God is light and life. Let that light shine in the darkness of the deceived to snatch many from death to life.

Before The Foundation - Revelation 17:8

Revelation 17:8 ESV

The beast that you saw was, and is not, and is about to rise from the bottomless pit and go to destruction. And the dwellers on earth whose names have not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world will marvel to see the beast, because it was and is not and is to come.

The dwellers of the earth will see the beast before they see Christ. Those whose names are written in the book of life will not have the pleasure of acquaintance with the beast. God knows the end from the beginning before the foundation of the world. Christ was slain before the foundation of the world.

Before the foundation of the world means that all creation was spoken by the word. That word contained all the mountains that would ever be and from the first man to you and me, from the beginning of time until the last moment before time is gone.

Christ was joined with His bride before the foundation of the world. Before the foundation of the world the light prevailed over the darkness. This is accomplished by the one who is the beginning and end, who was, is, and is to come. The word is spoken and will not return void. The world will receive the light and become visible.

His knowing does not preclude our free choice. He is just that big and awesome!

Our Trespasses - Colossians 2:13-15

Colossians 2:13-15 ESV

And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross. He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him.

Every trespass is an arrow added in the quiver of the enemy. It is forged and fashioned in the passion of our lives that are opposed to the will of God. Every arrow flies with the power of death on its tip. The aim of the arrow is certain.

Jesus has emptied the enemy's quiver by nailing our trespasses to the cross. The arrows have turned to ash and the bow is no longer strung against those in Christ. No weapon of the enemy will prosper against those who love the Lord.

His triumph is complete. The power of the enemy has been vanquished.

From Faith - Romans 14:23

Romans 14:23 ESV

But whoever has doubts is condemned if he eats, because the eating is not from faith. For whatever does not proceed from faith is sin.

Nothing is to be considered unclean from a religious standpoint. Christ has made it so and told us so. If one places their faith in Christ, then this should be understood. Not believing Him is a sin, much more so than the doing.

Doing and not doing is the essence of religion. Being in His light is the essence of pleasing God. Faith will set you free.

Are Hidden - Colossians 2:1-3

Colossians 2:1-3 ESV

For I want you to know how great a struggle I have for you and for those at Laodicea and for all who have not seen me face to face, that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God's mystery, which is Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

We are able to reach the treasures of Christ because He is in us. The Lord has come near, even within the heart of each believer. For now He is hidden in us and we are hidden in Him. We have access to all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge with the indwelling of the Spirit of truth.

One day all will be revealed.

Yet Wisdom - Luke 7:35

Luke 7:35 ESV

Yet wisdom is justified by all her children.”

Christ is the wisdom of God. He alone is able to justify the children of God. The children of the Most High reflect the wisdom of creation.

By His word He creates. By His word we are born. By His word we live.

A word to the wise.

If - Colossians 1:23

Colossians 1:23 ESV

if indeed you continue in the faith, stable and steadfast, not shifting from the hope of the gospel that you heard, which has been proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, became a minister.

Paul says we are reconciled if...

If we remain or continue in the faith. This is the way. Christ will get us there and we have been shown the way, but we must want to go.

We have heard the gospel and the word has gone out into all creation. Christ seeks a bride and the bride must come of her own free will. The bride, the body of Christ, is gathering and we await the coming of the bridegroom.

The bride will not include everyone who will be brought into the kingdom of God. The bride is gathered up before the great tribulation. Out of that tribulation will come a multitude without number who will worship God and sing His praises. Every knee shall bow and every tongue will confess that Christ is Lord.

In His Body - Colossians 1:21-22

Colossians 1:21-22 ESV

And you, who once were alienated and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds, he has now reconciled in his body of flesh by his death, in order to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before him,

His body took our place in the judgement for our sin. His flesh was given for our flesh. We become the body of Christ and become the flesh of His body on earth.

Our faith places us back in the Garden as individuals with the same choice that was before Eve, whether to obey God or to partake of forbidden fruit. We have the power and counsel of Christ to help us through this journey.

The tree of life will be the inheritance of those who endure to the end. Hold on to what you've got.

The Fullness Of God - Colossians 1:19-20

Colossians 1:19-20 ESV

For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.

In the man Christ the fullness of God made its first appearance in all creation. God had appeared in various ways in the past, but never in the form of a man, though this was His intent from the beginning. In the union of Adam and Eve, bone and flesh were exchanged between the two as they became one. In the union of God and man, heaven and earth are exchanged between the two as they become one.

The fullness of God is God.   P

Love

Love explains everything.

Love overcomes all things.

God is love.

The Word Of God Fully Known - Colossians 1:24-27

Colossians 1:24-27 ESV

Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I am filling up what is lacking in Christ's afflictions for the sake of his body, that is, the church, of which I became a minister according to the stewardship from God that was given to me for you, to make the word of God fully known, the mystery hidden for ages and generations but now revealed to his saints. To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

This has got to be one of the most amazing passages in Scripture. Paul says that he is honored to be chosen by Christ to make the word fully known. The word is known only fully known  when Christ is in you, for He is the word!

This mystery for the ages has been revealed in these last days. God is with us because He is in us. We see the working out the union of man and God as pictured by Adam and Eve in the garden.

We only wait for the number of the bride to be met and this will happen in the fullness of time. Only God knows when. He has always known.

Light Of Life

Life is a parable of life.

Jesus offers the gift of seeing the light of life.

The Way

The way is the path to a destination.

See you there!

Firstborn -Colossians 1:15

Colossians 1:15 ESV

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.

Creation has been around for a long time, from beginning to end. We weren't there for the beginning, but we will all be gathered at the end. Christ at both ends of time and beyond creation.

What might be meant by "the firstborn of all creation"? It could remind us that He is the head of all creation, the word that brought everything into existence. It could remind us that this is the firstborn of the God's purpose of creation, that union of the divine and man that is the ultimate of relationships. We who follow Christ enter into the fellowship of the Trinity and the oneness of God as sons. In that sense, we become one of many brothers and sisters in the household of our Father. We are the reborn of all creation.

Let Him Hear - Luke 8:4-8

Luke 8:4-8 ESV

And when a great crowd was gathering and people from town after town came to him, he said in a parable, “A sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some fell along the path and was trampled underfoot, and the birds of the air devoured it. And some fell on the rock, and as it grew up, it withered away, because it had no moisture. And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up with it and choked it. And some fell into good soil and grew and yielded a hundredfold.” As he said these things, he called out, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”

some fell along the path and was trampled underfoot, and the birds of the air devoured it

A path appears where many feet have passed. The natural journeys of man and the normal inclinations of man have no thought or time for the things of God. The birds of the air fly in the dominion of the prince of the air. The ways of the world are not receptive to the word of God. It is off the beaten track that we find the way.

And some fell on the rock, and as it grew up, it withered away, because it had no moisture

As Moses was leading the Israelites through the desert, they were thirsty and had no water. Moses caused water to issue forth from a rock and the people drank. The rock that is the earth contains no moisture. The rock from heaven above has opened to provide a never ending supply of living water. Stop and drink and you will never thirst again.

And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up with it and choked it

When God cursed the earth due to the disobedience of man, God decreed that the earth would be hostile to the efforts of man and thorns would flourish in his fields of endeavor. And it is so. Jesus would wear a crown of thorns to His death, freeing us from the curse into a life of joyful obedience. We trade our crown of thorns for the crown of life.

And some fell into good soil and grew and yielded a hundredfold.” As he said these things, he called out, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”

Jesus told His disciples that anyone who would leave their life and follow Him would receive a hundredfold of what they left behind.

Can you hear what I'm saying?

Neither Root Nor Branch - Malachi 4:1-4

Malachi 4:1-4 ESV

“For behold, the day is coming, burning like an oven, when all the arrogant and all evildoers will be stubble. The day that is coming shall set them ablaze, says the Lord of hosts, so that it will leave them neither root nor branch. But for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness shall rise with healing in its wings. You shall go out leaping like calves from the stall. And you shall tread down the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet, on the day when I act, says the Lord of hosts.
“Remember the law of my servant Moses, the statutes and rules that I commanded him at Horeb for all Israel.

Israel is the root of God's presence on earth. The body of Christ is the branch grafted into that root. It is the branch which bears the fruit of the Holy Spirit. Together they represent the tree of life. Together they bear the light of the living God. Jesus is the radiance of that light.

Those not attached to the tree will fall in the fire that will blaze on the day of the Lord.

The Will Of The Lord - Isaiah 53:10-11

Isaiah 53:10-11 ESV

Yet it was the will of the Lord to crush him;
he has put him to grief;
when his soul makes an offering for guilt,
he shall see his offspring; he shall prolong his days;
the will of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.
Out of the anguish of his soul he shall see and be satisfied;
by his knowledge shall the righteous one, my servant,
make many to be accounted righteous,
and he shall bear their iniquities.

These verses give us insight to the will of the Lord. The question is often asked, "what is the will of God for my life?" The overarching answer is that we be accounted righteous. He is willing to bear our iniquities if we are willing to bear His love.

He is willing if we are willing.

First Fruits Of The Spirit - Romans 8:22-23

Romans 8:22-23 ESV

For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now. And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.

All of creation is giving birth to the sons of God. All of creation is for the purpose of giving birth to the sons of God. God has planted the seed of His word into our earth. The Holy Spirit has joined with our spirits and we experience the first fruits of the new creation. We begin to participate in God's Sabbath rest. We eagerly await for the consumption of His work that has already begun. The Spirit has raised us from the dead. The Spirit dwells in us. The Spirit will raise us into the Divine.

The word became flesh and lived among us. The word is flesh and lives among us. This is the body of Christ that will be redeemed as He is.

With The Wicked And Rich - Isaiah 53:8-9

Isaiah 53:8-9 ESV

By oppression and judgment he was taken away;
and as for his generation, who considered
that he was cut off out of the land of the living,
stricken for the transgression of my people?
And they made his grave with the wicked
and with a rich man in his death,
although he had done no violence,
and there was no deceit in his mouth.

He was placed among the wicked and rich, in sharp contrast to Jesus who was the exact opposite of those around Him. He who knew no shadow of darkness, who had no speck of sin soiling His garment was laid among the wicked. He had no earthly riches, yet provides all the riches of heaven and the eternal life which is His alone to share.

There was no deceit in His mouth, for He is the way, the truth, and the life.

Gone Astray - Isaiah 53:6

Isaiah 53:6 ESV

All we like sheep have gone astray;
we have turned—every one—to his own way;
and the Lord has laid on him
the iniquity of us all.

We graze in a pasture that was created by God and like sheep we wander away from God toward the pull and seduction of creation. We distractedly go our own way.

Our rebellion to God and allegiance to self brings iniquity to us all. God has chosen to bear that iniquity if we turn back to Him.

It can only be ignorance that can explain our rejection. Satan is ignorant to think he can be like the Most High. We are ignorant if we listen to him.

When

When is the word merely words?

When not mixed with faith.

We Are Healed - Isaiah 53:4-5

Isaiah 53:4-5 ESV

Surely he has borne our griefs
and carried our sorrows;
yet we esteemed him stricken,
smitten by God, and afflicted.
But he was pierced for our transgressions;
he was crushed for our iniquities;
upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace,
and with his wounds we are healed.

He has not suffered because of our griefs, or disease, but because He took them on Himself. They became His. In doing so He made us clean. The disease did not go away until He died with our disease. In doing so we are healed.

It is remembered no more.

Breathe

We either breathe the breath of life or our breath will run out.

Into This Grace - Romans 5:1-2

Romans 5:1-2 ESV

Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Faith was sought by God from Adam. God told Adam what was necessary for life and death. Adam choose death.

Faith was sought by God from Israel. God told them what was necessary for blessings and curses.

Faith is sought by God from every person on the planet. Jesus has told us what is necessary for life and death.

We face the same decision as Adam, Israel, and every individual. Will we place our faith in Him?

Grace is not necessary where there is no sin. If Jesus was slain before the foundation of the world, this means that it was God's plan that darkness would precede the light and that sin would come before grace.

In a sense, darkness was necessary to see the light. Sin was necessary to explain grace. This is required for faith.

This is the journey as we travel expectantly in and toward the glory of God.

Despised - Isaiah 53:3

Isaiah 53:3 ESV

He was despised and rejected by men;
a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief;
and as one from whom men hide their faces
he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

Those in darkness hide from the light. The darkness does not comprehend the light. That is why the light of God is separated from the darkness.

But God chose to enter our darkness, to draw near so that we would have access to the light.

He was despised and rejected by men, treated as worthless. God has always been rejected by men, even His own people, and yet He loves us so that He would give His life that we might have life.

He only asks that we give our life for Him.

Sons Of God

The first son of God was created by God.
From him would come the Jews.
The second Son of God was begotten by God.
He referred to Himself as the Son of Man.
From Him would come many sons of God.

We Should Desire - Isaiah 53:2

Isaiah 53:2 ESV

For he grew up before him like a young plant,
and like a root out of dry ground;
he had no form or majesty that we should look at him,
and no beauty that we should desire him.

The word fell into the dry ground of a vineyard which did not produce the fruit God was looking for. Israel was the vineyard of the Lord, a vine that would show the way to the true vine of the Lord Jesus Christ.

From the root of Jessie would spring a tender plant, a shoot of the divine rising from the earth of man.

He would not appeal to our senses, but to our spirits. He manifested the seed from the tree of life. He is the fulfillment of our desire.

Who Has Believed - Isaiah 53:1

Isaiah 53:1 ESV

Who has believed what he has heard from us?
And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?

What are we looking for and what if it doesn't look like that? This has always been a problem for man. In the Garden, Adam had everything he would be looking for once he was expelled from the presence of God. The forbidden fruit had visual appeal, but it wasn't what he thought it would be, in fact the very opposite.

In the end, most of us don't know what we are looking for. It takes God to show us. Our eyes can look in many directions without finding or seeing God. When He makes Himself known, we cannot look in any direction without seeing God. Same eyes, different heart.

The arm of God has been revealed to us in the form of the Son of Man in the flesh. He brings news that's unbelievable, yet asks us to believe. He gives us a gift beyond measure, yet we are to count our blessings.

Listen to what the Spirit is saying to the churches.

He says I will give. It's what we are looking for.

Everyone

Everyone dies, but not everyone lives.

You can overcome death if you want to.

In The Name - Colossians 3:16-17

Colossians 3:16-17 ESV

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

How do we renew our minds? By staying in the word of Christ, who is the word of God. As His word becomes our word, we begin to think in a new way, a renewing of our minds begins and the old man begins to turn to dust. His word is alive, for He is the word and He is alive. We find our lives in Him. It is in the power of His name.

An Expanse - Ezekiel 1:22

Ezekiel 1:22 ESV

Over the heads of the living creatures there was the likeness of an expanse, shining like awe-inspiring crystal, spread out above their heads.

Revelation 4:6
and before the throne there was as it were a sea of glass, like crystal.
And around the throne, on each side of the throne, are four living creatures, full of eyes in front and behind:

This is the expanse that separates the waters from the waters, heaven from earth. God is above and earth is below.

Genesis 1:6-7
And God said, “Let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters.” And God made the expanse and separated the waters that were under the expanse from the waters that were above the expanse. And it was so.
