Colossians 2:16-17 NIV
Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.
Being real is found only in Christ. It's not in any religious exercise or tradition. It's not anything we do or can do. Let us be found in Christ, for that is the only path to God.
Paul equates observing Sabbath day with a New Moon celebration. These things are good, but do not substitute for being in Christ. Do not make the mistake of knowing about Christ, but not knowing Him.
Leave the shadow behind and step fully into the light. These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.
