Christ's Sacrifice Once for All
For since the law has but a shadow of the good things to come instead of the true form of these realities, it can never, by the same sacrifices that are continually offered every year, make perfect those who draw near.
God used "shadows" to communicate to the world since it is a place of darkness. Reality is too much for the darkness to comprehend.
Into the shadow of the valley of death shines that morning star of glory that is the Son. It makes perfect the faces that are turned toward Him.
