Taken The Scroll -Revelation 5:6-10

Revelation 5:6-10 ESV
And between the throne and the four living creatures and among the elders I saw a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, with seven horns and with seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth. 7 And he went and took the scroll from the right hand of him who was seated on the throne. 8 And when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty- four elders fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. 9 And they sang a new song, saying,
“Worthy are you to take the scroll
and to open its seals,
for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God
from every tribe and language and people and nation,
10 and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God,
and they shall reign on the earth.”

Jesus descended to earth, accomplished the purpose and mission of salvation, and was raised up onto the throne of God. All things are given to Him.
The ESV translates the Greek word "mesos" as "between". It could be translated as "in the middle" or "midst". The Lord has taken His place as King. This the same word used in Revelation 1:13. Just as He is in the middle of the throne, He is in the middle of the elders.
The Lamb is given seven horns and seven eyes in this vision. These are interpreted for us as the seven spirits of God "sent out into all the earth". This could be a reference to the Spirit given and filling the church. It is the Spirit who empowers and speaks to us.
He takes the scroll because He was able to overcome the world. He receives it at the hand of the Father. He is given power, authority, and dominion over all things. This is confirmed as the four living creatures and the twenty four elders fall down before Him in worship. The harps and incense signify worship.
Their mouths are filled with a new song, the good news of God's victory and mercy through His Son Jesus Christ. A kingdom arises out off the people of earth. A people made holy by His grace and who will reign on earth with Him as the head.

Revelation 1:12-13
Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking to me, and on turning I saw seven golden lampstands, 13 and in the midst of the lampstands one like a son of man, clothed with a long robe and with a golden sash around his chest.
