Seven Lampstands And Torches

Exodus 20:18 ESV
Now when all the people saw the thunder and the flashes of lightning and the sound of the trumpet and the mountain smoking, the people were afraid and trembled, and they stood far off

Exodus 20:18 LXX

In the Septuigent, this verse uses the Greek word for torch to describe the light on Mt. Sinai because of presence of the Lord.

The same Greek word is used for the seven spirits of God that were before the throne in Revelation.

Revelation 4:5 ESV
And out of the throne proceed lightnings and voices and thunders. And there was seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God;

The fire, majesty, and glory of God are in view.

The church is represented as seven lampstands, with Jesus in the midst.
