That Tree

1 Peter 2:24-25 ESV
24 He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. 25 For you were straying like sheep, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.

Psalms 1:1-4
1 Blessed is the man
who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers;

2 but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night.

3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither.
In all that he does, he prospers.

4 The wicked are not so, but are like chaff that the wind drives away.

The tree of life was hung on the leafless tree of our shame and sin. The fruit from the forbidden tree is replaced by the hand of God with the fruit of His Son, restoring man to the freedom from sin that is in Christ.

The tree of life is Christ. Those in Christ are fed by its roots, the body and bride of the one that has and will come. It is watered by the Spirit.
