Proverbs 13:13 ESV
13 Whoever despises the word brings destruction on himself,
but he who reveres the commandment will be rewarded.
John's gospel tells us that Jesus is the Word of God. Jesus is the good news from God, bringing life and salvation. His reward is with Him, for to Him it is given to judge and rule the world.
