Romans 8:3-4 ESV
For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
The law was given to reveal sin. Sin revealed our need. Our need pointed us to Jesus, who is the answer.
Jesus fulfilled the law, therefore those in Jesus have fulfilled that law. His Spirit is with us and our spirits are joined with His. We are righteous because He is righteous. We are holy because He is holy. We are perfected in His strength.
